摘要
随着信息时代来临,人们在阅读新闻时往往没有时间通读全文,而只是粗略地浏览新闻标题,有选择性地阅读自己感兴趣的部分。因此在英语新闻的翻译中,标题的翻译及其重要。本文从纽马克的语义翻译和交际翻译理论出发,以福布斯中文网为研究对象,结合新闻标题翻译的标准和中英新闻标题的差异,分析归纳该网站新闻标题翻译的特点以及出现该特点的原因。再次,结合实例,探讨翻译过程中存在的问题,以期为英语新闻标题翻译这一难题探索解决方案。

Abstract
Living in the midst of the information age, readers often have no time to read the whole text of the news but choose the most attractive one by roughly scanning the news headline. So that, the translation of news headline plays a significant role in English news translation. In the light of Peter Newmark’s communicative translation and semantic translation, this thesis aims to analyze the translation of English news headlines on Forbes China. Combined with the differences between Chinese and English news headlines, the author tends to analyze and conclude the characteristics of the translation on this website based upon the criteria for translating English news headlines. Besides, integrated with examples, this essay endeavors to find out the reasons of its features and discuss the deficiency in the translation. By means of this discussion,the author hopes to make a modest means to the development of English news headline translation.
