摘  要

  本文分为三个部分，先简要介绍《红楼梦》翻译的两个版本，纽马克语义翻译与交际翻译的起源与发展，以及诗歌中的意象及《芙蓉女儿诔》；然后以语义翻译和交际翻译理论为基础，根据具体的例子分别分析杨宪益和霍克斯对于《芙蓉女儿诔》中意象翻译时，所采取的不同翻译策略。最后，归纳总结出自己的看法。

ABSTRACT

  This paper is divided into three parts: firstly, it briefly introduces the two versions of Hong Lou Meng, the semantic translation and communicative translation of Peter Newmark, the image of poetry in Furong Nver Lei; then it analyzes and compares translation strategy of image between The Story of Stone and A Dream of Red Mansions; finally, the author summarizes and arrives at some conclusions.
