摘要

随着经济全球化的快速发展,人们越来越关注全球的财经资讯。世界上大多数财经新闻都以英文进行报道，因此通过英语财经新闻来了解世界经济已成趋势。英语财经新闻自身具有高度专业性，同时目前英文财经新闻的汉译普遍缺乏理论指导,翻译现状并不乐观。因此，本文以德国功能派理论为研究英语财经新闻汉译的理论基础，结合世界权威财经报刊《金融时报》的双语新闻, 从词汇和句子两个角度来探讨英文财经新闻的汉译策略，以提高英文财经新闻的汉译质量，增加国人对英文财经新闻的准确理解。

Abstract

With the development of economic globalization and enhancement of China’s comprehensive strength, it is increasingly necessary to obtain the latest financial information as soon as possible. As English coverage is the main medium to access to financial news, it has been mainstream to learn about the world economics from English financial news. However, the specialties of English financial news increase the difficulties of fully getting information for Chinese readers. Besides, due to the lack of theoretical guidance of this text type, the quality of translation is not satisfactory. Taking this into consideration, this thesis chooses German Functionalism as theoretical basis and uses the bilingual news of Financial Times as research materials to conduct the study from both lexical level and the syntactical level. Combined with translation principles of timeliness, accuracy and specialization from skopos theory and text typology, the thesis analyzes various examples and makes thorough comparison between the two languages. Based on that, the thesis puts forward effective translation strategies so as to improve the quality of text translation and accuracy of understanding for Chinese readers.
