摘 要
《檀香刑》是莫言精心打磨五年方完成的一部长篇力作,这既是一部汪洋恣肆、激情迸射的新历史主义典范之作,又是一部借刑场为舞台,以施刑为高潮的现代寓言体戏剧。本文以文体学为基础,探讨《檀香刑》英译本的翻译效果。通过文献法及图标法,本文从猫腔、第一人称叙事视角和假象等值三个方面,具体分析其原语与目标语。作为一本小说,《檀香刑》语言形式丰富。由于译语的语言形式关系到传达原语风格的效果,因此译文中语言风格的传达问题显得尤其重要。本文的译者在翻译过程中,恰当地处理原语中的各种语言现象。通过本文的分析,希望广大翻译工作者在翻译过程中最大限度地传达原著的文体,让中国文学更好地传播,并让外国读者更好地领略中国文学作品的文体特色和艺术魅力。

Abstract
Mo Yan devotes five years to completing his Sandalwood Death, which is not only an exceptional example of New Historicism in a sea of unrestrained passion, but also a modern fable drama in the stage of execution and climaxing with torture. Based on the literary stylistics, this paper aims to discuss the translation effect of its translated version. In order to study how to reproduce the spiritual meaning of the original text in translation, this thesis, combining documentary method with graphic marking approach, uses the basic theoretical frame of stylistics to analyze the translation version in three aspects: Maoqiang, the first-person narrative point and deceptive equivalence. As a novel, Sandalwood Death is rich in the language forms. Because the linguistic form of the translation influences the effect of transmitting the style of the original text (Li, 2012), the transmission of the language style in the translated version appears especially important. The translator of Sandalwood Death appropriately dealt with the expressions in various language phenomena. By analyzing this, other translators desired to maximize the conveyance of the original style in the translating process. This will finally be beneficial for introducing Chinese literature and enable foreign readers to better appreciate the artistic charm and literary value of Chinese literary works.
