摘  要

在当今经济与科技的不断发展的社会环境下，越来越多的外国影视作品涌入中国，吸引了中国观众的眼球。而随着影视产业的发展，作为影视作品的一部分，字幕翻译也逐渐受到一些专家和学者们以及社会上一些字幕组的关注，并取得了巨大的进步。正如文学作品的翻译需要遵循一定的原则来进行，影视作品的字幕翻译也要有其原则。本课题主要讨论的是字幕翻译原则中的忠实原则、通俗易懂原则和角色性格化原则的基本知识及其在具体影视作品中的应用，因此，本文选取了美剧《童话镇》的部分剧情对话为例，在遵守忠实原则、通俗易懂原则和角色性格化原则的基础上，通过对比的方法赏析剧中人物对话中的英译汉字幕翻译以及翻译时使用的技巧。

Abstract

In the environment with an increasingly development of social economy and science and technology, more and more foreign films and television works have been brought into China. And these films and TV plays have attracted Chinese audience’s attentions. And with the development of movie and TV industries, and as one part of films and TV plays works, subtitle translation has been focused on by some experts, scholars and even some fansub groups gradually. And the subtitle translation work has achieved a great deal of improvement. Film and TV play’s subtitle translation should obey its translation principles, such as the literal translation should follow its standards. So this paper mainly discusses three subtitle translation: faithful principle, intelligible principle and characteristic principle and their applications in films. The author will give a brief introduction to these three principles, and then take a case study in accordance with these principles. So this paper takes the dialogues of the American TV series Once Upon a Time for examples. On the basis of faithful principle, intelligible principle and characteristic principle, the author appropriates and compares the English-Chinese subtitle translation versions and the translation strategies of the dialogues in Once Upon a Time.
