摘  要

古诗，是中国几千年文学历史长河中不可缺少的一部分。而对古诗进行翻译，不但能更好地传播和发扬中华古诗文化，还能使让更多的人欣赏、了解古诗，并读懂诗中的内涵。然而，与其他体裁的文学作品相比，古诗言简意赅，诗人往往用几句话就表达出无穷的的情感和想法，它将语言浓缩成精华，这也就加大了古诗翻译的难度。译者需要在不影响原诗韵味的前提下，让有不同文化背景下的人们读懂古诗。本论文所研究的便是中国古代诗歌英译中的难点以及其解决的方法和翻译策略。文章介绍了古诗英译的意义，通过对文化背景和意象，韵律以及语言准确性四个方面总结古诗翻译的难点，并提出了几种有效的翻译方法作为翻译难点的解决策略。本文将以王维的《九月九日忆山东兄弟》为例， 进行详细分析，力求寻找翻译的最佳方法。

Abstract

Traditional Chinese poems are one of the indispensible parts in the long history of Chinese literature. Translating classical Chinese poems can not only disseminate and promote Chinese poetic culture, but also get more people to appreciate and understand the emotional and connotative meaning of the poem. However, compared with the other genres of literary work, classical Chinese poems are concise and comprehensive. The poets always express their infinite emotion and thoughts with only a few sentences. Poems boil the language down into its essentials, which enhances the difficulty of translation and makes the task becomes challengeable. The translators need to make sure that people with different cultural background could understand the traditional Chinese poetries on the premise of keeping the charm of original version. This paper is going to discuss the difficulties as well as the methods and strategies of translating the classical Chinese poems. The paper introduces the significance of poetries translation, summarizes the difficulties through culture background and images, rhythms and language accuracy. It also comes up with several translation methods as the strategies to deal with the problems. Thinking of My Brothers in Shandong on the Double Ninth Festival will be studied as a case study to analyze the difficulties and figure out the methods and strategies of poetry translation.
