从目的论角度浅析美剧《越狱》字幕的翻译

A Study of the Translation of Subtitles of Prison Break- From the Perspective of Skopos Theory
摘        要
本文采用个案及描述分析法，以《越狱》为案例，选取剧中典型人物的台词及与文化要素具有关联性的句子进行分析，根据人物及语境特点，确定具体研究思路与方向。以目的论为主线，分析字幕的语言结构特点，确定具体的翻译策略。
本文共分四个部分，第一部分分别对字幕翻译和目的论的定义和研究现状作了详细描述；第二部分分析目的论对字幕翻译的影响；第三部分是以《越狱》的中英文字幕为案例分析目的论在电影字幕翻译中的应用，从语言和文化两个层面分析总结出目的论对字幕翻译的指导作用，最后得出自己的观点:翻译必须与实践结合，实践论证理论，理论为实践服务。同时，字幕质量不容忽略，声画与人物对白及文本应该内外衔接。观众通过字幕去欣赏影片，置身于原语语境，正确地理解地道英语，有利于培养学习英语的兴趣，提高英语听力、口语及实际翻译水平，目的论基础上的字幕研究对语言实际应用，跨文化交际及提高人们娱乐质量有很大的引导价值。

Abstract
In this thesis, case analysis and descriptive method are adopted. Taking Prison Break as a case, the author selected the dialogues associated with typical lines and cultural elements, and then carefully analyzed the subtitles to determine the specific research ideas and direction.
This paper is divided into four parts. In the first part, the definition and current research of the subtitle translation and Sskopos Theory are respectively described in detail. Based on Skopos Theory, the author introduced its influences on subtitle translation in the second part. In the third part, taking Prison Break for instance, the author analyzed and summed up the guiding function of Skopos Theory to subtitle translation from linguistic and cultural perspectives. Finally, the author come to personal point of view: theory must be combined with practice, practice demonstrates theory and theory serves practice. Simultaneously, subtitle quality can't be ignored. Sound, images and dialogues should be cohered both inside and outside. Audiences enjoy foreign films by subtitles and they place themselves in the original contexts. They contact with the Simon-pure English, which can help them cultivate their interest in English study and improve their listening, spoken English and their translation standard. Subtitle study based on Skopos Theory can be of great value for practical use of language, cross-cultural communication and audiences' recreational quality.
