摘 要
教师所采用的教学方法和步骤直接影响着学生的学习效果。基于教学论的这个观点,人教社英语组的专家们在其关于九年制义务教育的英语教材使用中提出了“五步教学法”。教学中若能科学的运用此教学法那将会在英语教学中取得很大的效果。英语五步教学法的首要环节是复习,旨在巩固上一堂课上所学知识。而教学法的中心环节是操练,通过口语听力等方面的练习来加强知识的习得。本文将主要介绍五步教学法的五个环节:复习,介绍,操练,练习和巩固。对这些环节进行更深入的分析,以此来探讨它对英语教学中所带来的改善和提高。另一方面,文章还会分析五步教学法在课堂上的实际应用,新的教学方法给学生和教师带来的新体验。

Abstract
Teachers’ teaching methods and steps have direct impacts on the students' learning effect. Based on the teaching theory of this view, experts of the English research group of People’s Education Press put forward the “five- step teaching method” on nine-year compulsory education in the English teaching materials. If teachers can use this teaching method scientifically, it will have a great effect in English teaching. The first link of the five steps of English teaching method is to review, which tries to strengthen a lesson on knowledge. And the center of the teaching link is the practice, which would strengthen knowledge acquisition through the oral hearing practice. This paper mainly introduces the five steps of teaching: review, presentation, drill, practice and consolidation. This paper tries to analyze these links further, so as to explore its effects on English teaching. On the other hand, this article will focus on analyzing the practical application of five steps in the classroom teaching. The new teaching method will be the last major innovations of English history. Not only the students but also the teachers can get new experience from the five steps of the English teaching method.

1 Introduction
China is one of the oldest countries in the world, and it has about five thousand years of history. Its cultural heritage has been carried forward generation after generation and never stopped. Although China has its own a set of teaching methods, this kind of teaching mode is not applicable for a new modern course --- English. English belongs to the Indo-European language, its grammar, pronunciation and writing are completely different from Chinese which belongs to the Sino-Tibetan language. Not only that, English speaking country's culture and Chinese traditional culture also have a lot of differences. Therefore, Chinese teachers can not use the traditional teaching methods to teach students to learn English. Because of these, education experts had put forward" the five steps of English teaching method ". And this paper will use the scientific research methods to illustrate “the five steps of English teaching method” and the application in the English class.
