摘 要
在初中英语学习中,词汇学习是相当重要的一部分。因此,在初中英语教学中,如何让学生有效的学习并掌握词汇一直是一个很重要的问题。词汇附带习得是学生习得词汇的一种方法。本文将介绍词汇附带习得的定义,及影响词汇附带习得效果的几个因素,并着重讨论词汇附带习得对初中英语词汇教学的启示。

Abstract
In junior school English learning, vocabulary acquisition is a quite important part of it. Therefore, how to help students to learn and master the vocabulary efficiently is an important question in junior school English teaching. Incidental Vocabulary Acquisition is a method for students to learn new words. This essay will introduce the definition of Incidental Vocabulary Acquisition, the effects that influence the result of Incidental Vocabulary Acquisition, and mainly discuss its enlightenment on English vocabulary teaching in Junior School.

1 Introduction
In English teaching, the training of listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities can not be carried out without vocabulary. The width and depth of the learners' vocabulary is an important indicator of their English proficiency. However, vocabulary teaching is different from phonetic teaching or grammar teaching, which runs through the teaching procedure, but it has different levels. For example, in terms of the width of vocabulary, in the primary level of general communication, learners need the vocabulary of 2,500 to 3,000 words,while the intermediate level of preliminary translation requires about 5,000 words. What's more, to be competent in the senior level of intermediate translation, your vocabulary is required to reach about 8,000. Therefore, finding out an effective way to learn vocabulary has become an important task to researchers and teachers. Some studies have shown that from Grade Three in primary school to high school graduation time, the learner's vocabulary growing speed is three thousand words per year, an average number of 40,000 words when they graduate from high school. As there are so many words, only a small part are learned through the direct and intentional teaching in class, and the major part are basic words.
As variety of newspapers and online learning resources are increasingly sophisticated, students' exposure to English is gradually increased. If a teacher is familiar with the theoretical principles of Incidental Vocabulary Acquisition and makes full use of the abundant foreign language resources with the guidance and intervention to incidental vocabulary acquisition, the students will learn more new words from him. There is no doubt that Incidental Vocabulary Acquisition is a new method for English vocabulary teaching.
