摘 要

词汇在语言的学习中占据很重要的地位,它是学好一门语言的基础,这是大家普遍知道的。一个人词汇学的不好就相当于没有拿到通往语言大门的钥匙,那么与别人进行沟通自然就很难。在英语学习中,学生如果不重视词汇就很难形成各方面的技能,而且也会降低学生对英语的兴趣。久而久之,学生的英语成绩就下降了。另外,我们都知道初中生有自己独特的性格特点。他们缺乏自我控制能力,对于自己不感兴趣的事物很难花时间去掌握。所以,初中英语词汇教学不仅作为重点更是难点,困扰着许多英语教师。本文首先研究英语词汇的特点,然后根据初中英语词汇教学的现状探索一系列有用的教学方法和巩固词汇的方法来激起学生兴趣,提高他们学习英语的效率。

Abstract

As we all know, vocabulary is very significant when we learn language. It is the foundation of language. A person who has poor vocabulary means he does not get the key to learn language. Of course, it is really difficult for him to talk to others. Students will feel troublesome to form various aspects of skills if they don’t pay attention to vocabulary when they learn English. Besides, it is difficult to foster students' interests to learn English and their school records will decrease year by year. Further more, we all know that students in junior high schools have their special characters and features. What they lack is self control. They won’t spend much time on things which they are not interested in. So in junior high school English vocabulary is not just a focal point but even a difficulty, which has always confused English teachers. This paper studies the features of vocabulary first and then explores a series of useful methods of vocabulary teaching and consolidations according to the present situation of English vocabulary teaching in junior high school. Then these methods will attract the interests of students and improve the efficiency of English.

1 Introduction
As everyone knows vocabulary is the key of learning language, which is so critical when communicate with other people. The more the vocabulary to be mastered, the better efficiency they will get.  Now the amount of English vocabulary in students’ textbooks is extremely large. How to memory and use the vocabulary effectively has become a difficult task to students and teachers. Faced with such a large vocabulary system, students are overwhelmed. What’s more, students in junior high schools have their special characters and features. What they lack is self control. Teachers need to make further efforts to improve students’ English levels. Moreover, they also should spend more time on fostering students’ interest to have a better result in teaching.
