Abstract:

Traditionally, the classroom English teaching depends on the textbooks and the teacher’s explanation. The students lack the motivation of English learning. These common phenomena may result in some consequences that the atmosphere in a classroom is monotonous and students cannot motivate their interest and passion. With the development of the modern multimedia and Internet technology, English film teaching gets more attention. It is necessary to put English film into English Teaching in order to achieve better teaching effect. This paper mainly analyses the significant meaning of English film teaching in the teaching process. It consists of four parts. The first part makes a brief introduction to our readers about English film teaching. The second part lists several advantages referring to English film teaching. The third part shows the steps of operation of English film teaching. The last part discusses the possible problems that may occur in the teaching process. We hope that our students can cultivate or improve comprehensive ability through the English film teaching

传统的教学模式当中，学生们学习英语知识主要依赖于书本以及老师的讲解，学生上课缺乏动力，这样的普遍现象会带来一些后果，比如上课氛围沉闷，学生不能激发学习英语的兴趣和激情。随着现在多媒体和网络技术的应用，英语电影教学得到更多关注。本论文将探讨在教学过程中英文电影教学所具有的重要意义。本文有四部分组成，第一部分向读者关于英文电影教学做一个简要介绍，第二部分列举英文电影教学的优点，第三部分向大家展示利用英文电影教学实施步骤，最后会讨论在英文电影教学中过程中可能出现的一些问题。我们希望通过英文电影教学学生可以培养或者说提高自身的综合能力。

1 Introduction
The college English teaching aims at cultivating the students' comprehensive ability, the skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. In order to make students communicate effectively in English in the future job and social interaction, the very important thing is that college English teachers should improve students’ language ability.
