1. Introduction
Nowadays, almost every child starts to learn English in school at a very early age. When they are in junior high school, they learn to speak and write long sentences in different tenses. It is thus obvious that syntax is such a key element in making sentences. However, there are certain difficulties in syntactic learning in junior high school. Many students are able to use the tenses skillfully, but there are still some mistakes in their expression and yet. That’s syntactic errors.
In native language environment, translation of English long sentences usually accord with English syntax, but some of them doesn’t. In junior high school students’ translating, there are a large part of errors caused by native language transfer. Negative syntax transfer may lead to the phenomenon, for example, problems of passive sentences, default of logical connectives, default of guide words, and problems of position adverbial, etc.
