Abstract:
This paper mainly researches on the role of Chinese traditional culture in English study under the background of cross-cultural communication. It firstly introduces research significance and purpose as well as research objective; then, it does literature review on researches of this topic at home and abroad; the third part introduces and interprets the Chinese English phenomenon appeared in Chinese students in the process of English application, besides, this part also analyzes differences between Chinese English and standard English; the fourth part analyzes the negative and positive influences of Chinese culture on English study as well as its positive functions on English language development.

摘要:
本课题主要研究在跨文化背景下传统中国文化对英语学习的影响。本文首先对本研究意义和目的及其研究对象进行介绍;其次对国内外关于本课题的研究进行文献综述;本文第三部分对中国学生在应用英语所出现的中式英语现象进行介绍和解读,并比较分析了其与标准英语的不同;第四部分分析了中国文化在英语语言学习中的积极和消极影响以及在英语语言发展中的积极作用。

Introduction
Language is the communication tool in the society. With the rapid development of economy, a lot of people started to learn English. Chinese people start to learn English at elementary schools, Chinese education attached great importance to learning English from junior high school, Chinese culture have a certain impact on the English Learners in process of they learning English.
For the cultural differences between Chinese culture and Western culture, though many students have learned English for many years, they still have unreasonable expressions when they use English. Meanwhile, many English teachers in English teaching ignores the role of Chinese culture on learning English as well as differences between Chinese and Western culture. In fact, many students make mistakes because of their own language habits.
Chinese students have formed a mode of thinking in the progress of learning Chinese language. For learners, when they are learning a second language, the common part of the two languages can help them to understand the second language, but the most time, the thought of language learners themselves would have a negative impact on the process of learning.
