Abstract

  The New Curriculum Standards of Primary English points out  that listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are important parts of language communicative competence. Listening and reading are skills for understanding that we can’t ignore the importance of English listening teaching. Even more, listening is the head of four skills. Gerry p,the famous British linguist, had said, “Beginners need more talented teachers skills.” There is no doubt that teachers play an important role in the initiation period of English learning. Thus, the essay aims to show the importance of listening teaching and discuss the strategies of listening teaching in primary school from four areas: pronunciation, enthusiasm and interest, language atmosphere, and listening skills. The teachers should continue to explore appropriate ways to improve students’ listening ability.

摘要

 《小学英语新课程标准》中指出：听、说、读、写技能是构成语言交际能力的重要组成部分。由此可见，我们不能忽视英语听力教学的重要性，甚至听力排在了四项技能之首。英国著名语言学家P.格里说过:“初学者更需要天才教师的技巧。”教师在英语的启蒙阶段的作用是巨大的。本文旨在指出听力教学的重要性，并从练习发音，培养学习兴趣，创造良好的语言环境，掌握一定的听力技巧，这四个方面研究小学英语教学的策略。教师应在不断探索中寻求合适的途径来提高学生的听力能力。
