摘 要
近年来,越来越多的人开始注重用英语来教授英语。而笔者认为母语在英语教学中的作用不容小觑。如何在初中英语教学中有效地使用母语是本论文的主要研究方向。本文根据语言习得理论以及语言迁移理论为基础,分析了学生、教师学习环境等多方面因素,探索正迁移对语音、词汇、语法等多方面英语习得的有利之处,认为适当的使用母语有助于初中生理解和掌握英语知识,从而促进初中英语教师在日常教学中对母语的使用情况。

Abstract
In recent years, a great number of people pay more attention to how to teach English. Some hold their view that English should be taught in English. But in the writer’s opinion, the role of mother language in junior middle school English teaching should not be underestimated. To find out a more effective and efficient way of using mother language in junior middle school is the main purpose of this paper. Based on the language acquisition theory and the theory of language transfer from the aspects of students, teachers, learning environment and so on, this paper analyses the advantages of positive transfer in junior middle school’s English teaching and gets the conclusion that mother language can help junior middle school students not only understand but also grasp the knowledge of English and improve the use of mother language in junior middle school English teaching.
