摘 要
随着全球化趋势的不断增长,英语已经成为让人们必不可少的交流工具,尤其是对孩子来说,英语极其重要。然而在现在的少儿英语教学中,特别是学校教育,大部分老师还是习惯于用音标教学的传统英语教学模式,但是孩子们的抽象思维能力较差,以机械记忆为主,通俗地说就是死记硬背。对于枯燥乏味的音标学习,他们难以集中精力,从而失去学习英语的兴趣。因此,这篇论文将介绍一种普及欧美的英语教学方法——自然拼读法。运用这种方法进行教学,孩子们会通过有趣的游戏,好听的儿歌和漂亮的图片认识到英语字母及其组合与其音素之间的对应关系,从而达到“见其形,知其音;听其音,知其形”的效果。所以利用自然拼读法进行少儿英语教学是将孩子们从死记硬背的沉重负担中解脱出来的好办法。这篇论文首先简单介绍了一下自然拼读法的背景知识及其教学过程中遇到的障碍,然后详细地描述了它的应用。

Abstract
With the growing trend of globalization, English has become a vital communication tool in people’s daily life, especially for children, it is rather important. However, in children’s English teaching today, especially school education, most teachers are accustomed to using the traditional teaching method—IPA to teach English. But young children’s abstract thinking ability is not good and they always memorize by mechanical memory, more colloquially, they always learn by rote. They can’t concentrate on the boring IPA learning, and then lose the interest in English. Therefore, this dissertation will introduce a popular English teaching method—Phonics, which is widely used in English-speaking countries. Children can realize the “letter-sound correspondence” through interesting games, nice music and beautiful pictures in class, thus they will make the effect that “know the sound when seeing the word; or know the word when listening its sound.” As a result, Phonics is a good way to get rid of the heavy burden of memorizing words in children’s English teaching. This dissertation will have a brief introduction of the background of Phonics and the barriers in Phonics teaching and then mainly explain the application of Phonics.
