摘  要

作为连接国与国、民族与民族、文化与文化的桥梁，翻译是人类交流中最重要的实践活动，对人类文明的进步与社会的发展有不可低估的作用。在全球化日趋增强的今天，翻译在增进国际交往和推动各国政治、经济、文化的发展中发挥着日渐重要的作用。因此，翻译研究也越发为人们所关注。就英语专业学生而言，翻译的重要性对于其学业和未来职业都是不言而喻的。但目前英语专业学生的翻译水平和质量并不乐观。有鉴于此，本文就英语专业学生在翻译练习中的常见问题进行总结,并在前人的基础上做了进一步研究。作者分类分析了翻译中的常见误区及成因，并提出相应方法和策略以提高英语专业学生的翻译技能。希望借此也提升更多人对英汉互译的兴趣。

Abstract

As a bridge linking state to state, nation to nation, culture to culture, translation has become an increasingly important and frequent practice in human communication, its significance for the progress of civilization and social development of human beings cannot be underestimated. With the increasing expansion of globalization, translation is playing a more and more important role in facilitating international exchange and the development of politics, economy and culture of each state. As a result, more and more people are concerned about translation studies. For English majors, the importance of translation is obviously self-evident for both their study and their future career. However, translation competence and quality of translation of quite a number of students are barely satisfactory. In view of this situation, in this paper author summarizes some main translation errors of English majors in translation exercise, and then conducts further research on them on the basis of previous research at home and abroad. Moreover, Author categorizes and analyzes these major translation errors and their causes, and puts forward some strategies and solutions to these problems. Hopefully this paper can help to arouse more people’s interest in English-Chinese and Chinese-English translation as well.
