摘 要
语言是文化不可或缺的载体,是文化的奠基石。语言作为文化缩影的同时,也被文化深深影响。词汇作为语言最重要的基础,承载着丰富的民族文化。在初中英语教学中,教师常把词汇教学作为英语教学的出发点,但由于教学的各种原因,学生总因记不住词汇而对英语学习失去兴趣。正确的英语词汇教学应从文化角度出发,使学生将文化与词汇相结合。本文从研究文化渗透在词汇教学中的必要性,以及词汇教学中的难点和文化渗透的不足来进行阐述,同时探讨词汇教学中文化渗透的方法和应遵循的原则。教师要结合词汇和文化的关系来认识词汇的文化导入在词汇教学中的重要性,正确培养学生的跨文化意识,在提高中学生英语词汇水平的同时,注意在英语词汇教学中跨文化意识渗透的重要性。

Abstract
Language is an indispensable carrier as well as a fundamental stone of culture. Language, as an epitome of culture, is strongly influenced and shaped by culture. Vocabulary is the most important basis of language and it contains abundant national cultural connotation. In junior middle school, English teachers always see vocabulary teaching as the starting point of English teaching. But owing to various reasons in English vocabulary teaching, teachers only focus on pronunciation and conceptual meaning of vocabulary, or teach students some methods of how to remember and learn English vocabulary, or let students memorize vocabulary mechanically. Therefore, many students lost their interest in learning English because they can’t remember vocabulary well. This thesis would try to analyze the necessity of intercultural awareness permeability in English vocabulary teaching, and some difficulties in English vocabulary teaching and insufficient intercultural awareness, and this thesis simultaneously discusses the methods and principles of intercultural awareness permeability in English vocabulary teaching. Teachers should be aware of the importance of cultural permeability in English vocabulary teaching according to the relationship between culture and vocabulary. In addition, teachers need to envisage the cultural difference between Western countries and China, and try to cultivate junior middle school students’ intercultural awareness. To sum up, this paper intends to interpret the importance of cross-cultural awareness in English vocabulary teaching.
