摘  要

当人类步入21世纪时，世界60岁以上人口总数已达到6.06亿，占总人口比例的10%，平均每10个人中就有一位老人，人类历史已经进入老龄社会的新时代。而世界上的人口大国之一的中国是世界上老年人口最多的国家，占全球老年人口总量的五分之一。老龄化社会里随着参与终身教育的老年人人数增加，使原本已离开学校踏上社会的老年人焕发了无比高涨的学习热情，学习英语的老年人人数也由于英语在沟通和交流中的作用日益显著也在逐年增加。因此，在这种情况下，本文研究通过文献研究年长者英语学习的特点，进而有针对性地对广大年长者提供英语学习的有效措施，将有助于提高年长者英语学习的效率，从而优化英语学习对老年教育的整体效果，推动老年文化教育的发展。

Abstract

When humans entered the 21st century, the total number of the world's population aged over 60 has reached 606 million, 10% of the total proportion of the population. With an average of one of every 10 persons is an old man, the history of mankind has entered a new era of an aging society. Thus, aging is the question of the 21st century the world must face together. The Chinese populous country in the world, one entered the aging society in 1999, and China is the world's most populous country in the elderly, accounting for one fifth of the world's total elderly population. China has entered a stage of rapid aging process, while aging population pressures began to appear. At the same time, with the development of economic globalization, English has become the world's most widely used language in communication and exchange of increasing significance. With the advent of the era of lifelong learning, so that the original who had left school embark enthusiasm on social learning unparalleled glow rising, setting off a burst after burst of learning boom. Therefore, in this case, we study the characteristics of older people learning English from literature research, and to provide effective measures to learning English, will help to improve older people learning English efficiency, thereby optimizing the overall effect of elderly English learning education, promote cultural education elderly.
