摘  要

英文报纸中存在许多文体，新闻报道作为一种比较常见的文体受到了研究者的广泛关注。许多研究者从传统文体学角度或从意识形态的角度对新闻报道进行了分析，但是从语用学的角度的研究相对较少。因此本文尝试从语用学的角度分析英语财经新闻报道的语用特色，从而加深对英语财经新闻报道的理解和认识。首先，文章介绍了财经新闻报道和语用学。其次，通过收集大量的例子，进行分析后才得出英语财经新闻报道的词汇特点，英语财经新闻报道的句法结构特征以及英语财经新闻报道的篇章结构特征。最后，可以得出结论，如果人们能够知道英文财经新闻报道的一些特征，就能更容易地读懂英语财经新闻报道，并更好的掌握文章的意思。

Abstract

With the rapid development of information communication in modern society, the mass media produces more and more great influence on people’s life. As one important channel of the mass media, newspapers become almost an essential part in people’s life. There are many different styles in English newspapers. As a common style, news reports have received the wide attention of scholars. Many researches on news reports have been approached from the perspective of traditional stylistic analysis and critical analysis, but it is relatively that few of them research English financial news reports from the angle of pragmatics. Therefore, this thesis attempts to make a comparative analysis on the pragmatic characteristics of English financial news reports, and in this way, it can deepen understanding and knowledge of English financial news reports. First of all, this thesis introduces financial news reports and pragmatics. Secondly, by collecting a large number of examples and analyzing them, then arrives at the vocabulary features of English financial news reports, the syntactic structure of English financial news reports and the textual structure features of English financial news reports. At last, it is concluded that if people can know some features of English financial news reports, they can read an English financial news report and catch the main idea more easily.

1. Introduction
Financial report or business news is the report about finance, economy and trade, and it also includes a lot of aspects, such as industry, agriculture, economy, business, finance, consumption and so on. English financial news reports are provided with strong expertise and vivid linguistic features, and they play a very important role in spreading economic information around the world. Knowing full well about the linguistic features of English financial news reports helps readers grasp the reported substantial accurately, and acquire the information they need. With the relationship of economy becoming closer and closer among countries, human activities all with exception have close relationship with economic development. Reading English financial news reports is helpful to understand the development trend of world economy in time.
