Abstract and Key Words
Abstract: During the course of human development, every country has shaped its own special dietary culture gradually. In different places people have different diets and dietary ideas because of different cultures of history, language, tradition, and religion. Just as an old saying goes, “One man’s meat is another man’s poison.” It means that only when they are in their living inhabits, they can understand their dietary culture better. There are great differences between China and West countries in dietary concepts, dietary contents, and dietary manners, but with the development of international communication, there is also some amalgamation of diet between the two sides. Based on the past researches, this paper will further analyze the differences between China and western dietary cultures, so as to achieve more smooth communication.

摘要:在人类的发展过程中,各国逐渐形成了自己独特的饮食文化。由于不同的历史、语言、传统和宗教等文化原因,不同的地区便有了不同的饮食和饮食概念。正如俗话说,“某人之佳肴即他人之毒药。”这就意味着只有当人们生活在自己的文化圈子里时,他们才能更好的理解自己的饮食文化。中西方在饮食观念、饮食内容、饮食方式上有很大的区别,但是随着国际交流的深入,两者又存在一定的共融。本文将在过去研究的基础上,进一步分析中西方在饮食文化上的差异,以期促进双方更好的交流。

1. Introduction
As a complicated cultural phenomenon, the custom on food and drink of the human being has rich connotations. The culture on food and drink is an in separated and essential part of the national culture. The dietary culture, in fact is referring to the diet and life style which the human are created in certain history or the social conditions, as well as the though and spirit category based on these forms. Each country and nationality in the history process of development, it forms respective and different behaviors, rules and the life style.
Chen Xin thinks that the differences of diet culture are one of the factors that affect the-inter-cultural communication results. Also, if culture wants to be improved, we should understand their differences and their deep cultural connotation. We should know more about it. Teng Tingjiang, Wang You thinks that since the differences between historical cultures and area cultures, they have different dietary points. At the same time, he says that a good understanding of their differences is playing an important role to clear up misunderstanding and enhance communication. While, Li Jin thought dietary cultures’ communication not only were living in our life, but also became a different cultures’ transmitter in an amalgamation process of global economic cultures.
