Abstract

  Idiom is the treasure of the people in the long history created. In daily life and literary works is widely used. Idiom is an indispensable part of language culture. It is in the development of long-term formed its own unique characteristics. With the rapid development of globalization and frequent contacts among different countries, intercultural communication is getting more and more important and becomes one of the most prominent and significant activities in the 21st century. However, people from different countries may have different beliefs, values, attitudes and world views and they may use their own cultural values, beliefs and attitudes to understand others from different cultural backgrounds. As a result, pragmatic failures may occur frequently and bring many obstacles in intercultural communication. Since intercultural communication is an inevitable trend, research on pragmatic failure in intercultural communication has become a new task of theoretical significance and practical value. Most people for a long time on the studying of idioms in source, connotation, classification, rhetoric, semantics, etc, from the pragmatics research is less. This paper uses Verschueren of language adaptation to study of pragmatic effect of idioms, which help us to better achieve the communicative purpose, as well as idioms research provides a new train of thought.

摘要

  成语是在悠久的历史中人民创造出来的瑰宝。在日常的生活中和文学作品中被广泛的运用。成语是语言文化中不可缺少的一部分。它在长期的发展中形成了自己独特的特点。在不同的全球化和频繁接触的快速发展国家,跨文化交际越来越显得重要,成为一个在第二十一世纪最突出和最重要的活动。然而,来自不同国家的人可能有不同的信仰,价值观,态度和世界观,他们用自己的文化价值观,信念和态度了解不同文化背景的人。因此出现一个现象,成语的语用失误经常发生,给双方的交流带来许多障碍。本文运用维索尔伦的语言顺应论来对成语的语用效果进行研究,研究在什么样的语境下怎么选择合适的成语,从而帮助我们更好的实现交际的目的,避免交际活动中出现各种的错用成语的现象。

Chapter One Introduction
1. 1 Background of the Thesis
Idioms are working in practice to create a special language of life forms. As a unique phenomenon of a language, its vivid and concise structure, language with great humor and thought-provoking. Idiom with distinctive ethnic features and a strong breath of life, and with a strong oral sex as they are loved by an expression of the people. Idiom is considered to be an embodiment of the concept of national language and thought and culture and reflect. As an integral part of national culture, in its thousands of years of history, has formed a complete system. Since 1920, the idiom began to receive wide attention by scholars, they were from the vocabulary, semantics, syntax and idioms, including multiple perspectives are studied, but most are concentrated in the origin of the idiom, nomenclature, classification, rhetoric, semantics, translation and other aspects and idioms from a pragmatic perspective studies are rare. In order to enrich the field of Linguistics, this article from a pragmatic point of view, apply theory to analyse the relationship between idiom and context-specific. Through research: mutual adaptation between the idioms and context, communication in communication, and how to adapt to different contextual factors and make a conscious choice to idiom, thus helping people to better achieve communicative purposes.
