摘要
环保是人类面临的一个共同话题, 但由于各国的经济发展水平不同, 文化历史的不同,人们对自身与自然的关系的认识必定表现出一定的差异。 在环保这个话题上也会有深浅不一的关注态度。环保公益广告,旨在宣传生态环境问题,唤醒公众环保意识,采取环保行为。本文尝试通过对英语环保公益广告在词汇、句法和修辞三方面的语言特点的实例进行分析总结,并与中国文化背景相对比从而了解英语环保公益广告中所体现出的不同文化态度,促进人们对西方文化与环保态度的进一步了解。

Abstract
Environment protection is a common topic all people face together. However, due to different economic, historical and cultural development, different peoples have different perception of their relationship with natural environment and show various concerns on the issue. Pro-environment advertisements are intended to disclose environmental problems and awaken public awareness to take environment-protection actions. This thesis, based on some concrete examples, analyzes the lexical, syntactical and rhetorical characteristics of English pro-environment advertisements. The analysis further compares with Chinese culture to shed some light on the different environmental consciousness and attitudes. Through analysis, the thesis attempts to help readers get good knowledge of the Westerners’ environment consciousness and attitudes.
