摘要

作为一种广泛应用的语言形式，礼貌用语在我们的日常生活交际中随处可见，它也越来越成为语言学领域一个新的重要的研究方向。作为一种常见的语言形式，礼貌用语的使用同时也是一种社会美德的体现。通过一系列的对比研究，本文的目的在于发现中西方礼貌用语之间的共同点和差异。本论文写作的最终目的在于能够帮助人们在跨文化交际的不同的场合下能够正确的使用礼貌用语。

Abstract

As a widely-used language express, politeness can be observed in our daily communication, and it has been became an important object of study in linguistics. As a common expression of language, the use of politeness can be also regarded as a universal virtue. This paper is aiming to find out the common features and different  between Chinese and western courtesies through contrastive study of politeness principle. The purpose of this paper is to help people use courtesies correctly under different occasions during the cross-culture communication.
