摘  要

随着信息技术的迅速发展，外贸在经济发展的当代，扮演着越来越重要的角色。通信一直受到商业界的高度重视。根据通信的方式，商业通信大致可以分为两类：口头沟通和书面通信。本文主要研究书面通信也叫商务英语信函。商务英语信函作为国际化沟通交流的书写工具，有着它独有的特点。而学习者能否写出地道的商务英语信函在于是否掌握了它的语言特征。语块则有助于生成商务英语信函中的语言特征。本文大量的引用国内外学者的观点，为文章提供了科学基础。并对语块的定义和特点进行分析，旨在证明语块是商务英语写作中的语言特征。与此同时，把语块应用在商务英语信函中具有一定的指导意义。希望借助本文可以提高学习者的商务英语信函写作水平，并为商务英语写作教学提供指导性意见。

Abstract

With the rapid development of Information Technology, international trade has increasingly become an essential part in today’s economy. Communication has always been highly regarded in commercial circles. In line with the means of communication, business communication can be generally divided into two types: oral communication and written communication. In this paper, we study the written communication also called English business letter (EBL). The EBL is an important written tool used for international business communication and it has distinctive features. Whether a learner can write an idiomatic EBL depends on whether he can master the linguistic characteristics or not. Many lexical chunks help to generate the linguistic characteristics of an EBL. This dissertation cited a great many theories of scholars from home and abroad，in order to carry out the study on a scientific basis. The author analyzes the definitions and features of lexical chunk, which aimed at proving that lexical chunks are the characteristics of the language of EBL writing. At the same time, it is significant to probe into the possibility of teaching EBL writing from the dimension of chunks. Hoping this paper will be able to improve the EBL writing levels of learners and providing instructional advice to the teaching of EBL writing.
