摘 要
在与国际贸易伙伴交换商务信息以及建立双方合作商业关系时,外贸信函成为最有力也是最为人们所运用的手段。外贸信函的写作基本要求是主题分明,内容简洁,语言精辟,表述完整。本文中提及外贸信函的写作六大准则,其中包含得体准则,慷慨准则,谦逊准则,赞扬准则,同意准则和同情准则,在此基础上礼貌原则的应用。外贸函电的彬彬有礼的能有效地提高贸易之间的相互信任,提高业务成功的机会。所以,如何在外贸信函中运用语言技巧就显得非常重要。

Abstract
English business correspondence is a major means for two trade partners in the international trade to exchange their business information and to establish good trade relations. The basic writing principles of the business correspondence are followings: the subject is clear; the content is concise; the language is refined; the information is completely and clearly expressed. This paper mainly studies classified principle in business correspondence, they are Tact Maxim, Generosity Maxim, Approbation Maxim, Modesty Maxim, Agreement Maxim and Sympathy Maxim, and on the basic of it, politeness principle is used in business correspondence. A polite letter can effectively make two business partners trust each others more and it also can increase the chances of business success. Consequently, it is going to be virtual to learn how to use language skills properly in foreign business correspondence.
