Abstract
This paper attempts to investigate films made in the west and religious factors living in them, and introduce the religious influence upon the western movies. Starting from the western movies, it will analyze the cultural influence and focus on the influence of Christianity. In this way, it will discuss the religious culture and its impact on the western movies as well as the westerners’ religious concepts and ideas.

 本论文通过针对西方电影自诞生以来融合的宗教因素的分析研究，论述宗教文化对西方电影的影响。本研究从西方电影入手，分析西方电影中的宗教因素和宗教文化，再导出基督教对西方电影的影响，探讨了西方电影中融入的宗教文化以及西方人的宗教观念和想法。

Films, especially Hollywood films, to name a few, action, comedy, horror and  romance, thriller, ect., have obtained wide popularity among people. Nowadays, along with the developing technology, movies are becoming more and more interesting and attractive.
When enjoying the wonderful films, the viewers may come across such questions: what is a film or a movie? How is it made? Why do we enjoy that? Why do some movies enjoy such popularity, while others do not? All these are expected to be explored with detailed analysis in this thesis.
And this paper will, too, look into religion which has always been a significant factor living in movies. A case in point is that given the Christianity’s popularity in western countries, there are an expanding number of Christian signs seen in the western movies. When people watch such movies, they may easily come upon these questions: Why is there such religious influence on western movies? And what can be learnt from that?
