摘     要

本文主要从三个方面分析女主人公斯嘉丽的文学形象，分别是她对待爱情的态度、对待生活的态度和关于斯嘉丽的一些缺点。人的性格的形成与其所处的环境是密不可分的，女主人公斯嘉丽由于她所处的南北战争环境使得她在战争前后由于个人经历的不同、心路历程的演变而导致最终性格的转变——从战前倔强任性、贪图虚荣的少妇到战中敢做敢为、斤斤计较的当家人，并在战后最终蜕变成忍辱求生的开拓者。
文学作品中的人物应该是来源于生活，但是又高于生活。在实际生活中，金无足赤，人无完人，女主人公斯嘉丽也曾因为自私贪婪、虚伪冷酷而招致了不少非议。本文主要分析斯嘉丽的矛盾性格，那种倔强、叛逆和永不言败的奋斗精神和自私自利的性格缺陷以及怎样的环境是如何塑造了这样一个文学形象，正是因为这样一个非完人的形象才使得她如此的深入人心，因为在现实生活中没有完美的人，每个人都有这样那样的缺点。而身为现代社会的女性，我们也能够从斯嘉丽身上学到很多。
某个文学形象之所以广为流传是因为它能和读者产生共鸣，而斯嘉丽便是这样一个文学形象，这也是她流传至今的原因。

ABSTRACT

This essay will portray the literary image of Scarlett the heroine of Gone with the Wind from three different aspects, they are her attitude towards love, life and some defects about her. We all know that the formation of one’s personality is inseparable from the environment in which he is around. This essay aims at exquisitely portraying the personality inversion of the heroine of this fiction Scarlett before and after the war due to different life experience —from the wayward, vain young woman before the war  to a brave and hardhearted breadwinner during the war and a magnificent women who lives with sense of shame, also as a explorer.
Characters in literary works should be from life, but not just about normal life , it should has lots of educational meaning. In real life no one is perfect, Scarlett incurred a lot of criticism because of selfishness, greed, hypocrisy and coldness. This essay aims at analysis of the bright spot of Scarlett’s character , such as stubborn, rebellious, and never give up fighting but she also has some defects at the same time .At the same time analyze how the environment shaping such a literature image. Her literature image was well known by people just because such mixture character .Cause in real life no one is perfect ,everyone has his own shortcoming. And as for us modern society women , we can learn a lot from her.
The reason why a literature image does not fade away as time goes by is it can touch the bottom of readers’ heart. Scarlett stands out just because she is such an image and that is why this kind of image can live on.
