Abstract

Verbal humor is a method for people to communicate with each other and can make both parties happy when they are communicating, at the same time, the use of humor can ease the atmosphere and promote interpersonal harmony. To explore the using meaning and value of humor words from the perspective of linguistics, the author primarily makes a study of the Relevance Theory in verbal humor of the American sitcom Good Luck Charlie. The Main body of the thesis is divided into three parts. The first part mainly gives an overview of the American sitcom Good Luck Charlie, providing a certain basis for the reader to understand the text below; The second part mainly introduces the relevance theory and the application of relevance theory in strengthening the effect of humor; the third part mainly interprets the verbal humor under the relevance theory; finally the author makes a summary on the paper and provide constructive suggestions for the people in this field of research.

摘        要

幽默言语是人们在进行沟通时传达语言魅力的一种手段，能够让对话双方在进行交流时心情愉快，与此同时，幽默语言的使用能够缓解气氛并且能促进人与人之间的和谐相处。为了从语言学角度来探究幽默言语的使用意义和其价值，作者在本文中主要借助斯帕伯和威尔逊的关联理论，以美国情景喜剧《好运查理》为例，对幽默言语进行深层次的探讨和研究。该论文的主体部分主要分为三部分。第一部分主要对美国情景剧《好运查理》做出简要的概括，为下文读者理解全文提供一定的基础；第二部主要介绍关联理论以及关联理论在加强幽默效果时的应用；第三部分主要通过举例来仔细诠释在关联理论下的幽默言语研究；最后作者针对该论文做出总结，为今后人们进行这一领域研究提供建设性意见。
