摘要

现代社会矛盾日益加剧，以双重人格为代表的心理疾病给人们的生活带来了巨大的困扰。双重人格是指一个人具有两个相对独特的并相互分开的亚人格，正常人在相同时刻存在两种思维方式，其中，各种思维的运转和决策不受其他思维方式的干扰和影响，完全独立运行，但会缺失对重要信息的记忆。
在《少年派的奇幻漂流》中，主人公Pi既是遭遇海难与孟加拉虎一起漂流的善良少年，也是为了生存而杀死同伴并以同伴尸体为食的恶魔。本文以弗洛伊德的精神分析理论为依据，分析《少年Pi的奇幻漂流》中主人公Pi的双重人格，主要剖析双重人格的表现形式和形成原因。旨在帮助读者理解Pi的精神世界，挖掘小说的多重主题内涵。

Abstract

In the modern society, the complexity of social conditions and conflicts make a growing number of people suffer from mental illness. Dual personality is a mental illness that one’s personality is controlled by two distinct and relatively enduring identities or dissociated personality states that alternately control a person's behavior, and is accompanied by the loss of memory for important information.
In Life of Pi, the hero is, on one hand, a good boy who believes in religions and loves his families, on the other hand, an evil who kills and eats his partners in order to survive. This thesis helps readers to understand the multiple themes of the novel through analyzing the dual personality of the hero in Life of Pi with its causes being explored. It is important for readers to understand the themes of this novel, and thus learn to find the balance between their inner world and the outer world.
