A Study on E-C Translation of Disney Film Titles from the Perspective of Adaptation Theory_英语论文

摘要

本文将以维索尔伦（Verschueren）的语用学综观下的顺应论为理论基础，对影响迪士尼动画影片片名翻译的因素进行尝试性研究。本文从电影片名的来源、特点以及功能入手，指出了在影片片名翻译过程中，译者是如何达到语言层面顺应与语境层面顺应，从而引起了潜在观众的注意，创造出如此巨大的商业价值。希望本文所做的研究能为日后外国儿童影片片名的汉译提供视角参考。

Abstract

Based on Verschueren’s Adaptation Theory from a pragmatic perspective, this thesis makes a tentative study on the various factors which affect the English-Chinese translation of Disney animation film titles. Beginning with the source, characteristics and functions of the film titles, the present thesis points out how the translator achieves linguistic adaptation and extra-linguistic adaptation in the process of film title translation which attracts potential audiences’ attention and creates such a great commercial value, hoping to provide a new perspective for foreign animation film titles translation.
