摘要

随着对外开放和全球化的不断发展，文化交流日益频繁且深入。作为文化传播方式之一的纪录片也在不断发展。《美丽中国》是第一部表现中国野生动植物，自然人文景观以及它们关系的纪录片，由中国中央电视台（CCTV）和英国广播公司（BBC）联合摄制。此纪录片字幕为官方译本，具有研究意义。本文选取部分字幕作为翻译材料，以Jef Verschueren的语言顺应论为指导，从社交语境顺应、时空语境顺应，认知语境顺应和上下文语境顺应四个角度来分析字幕的翻译策略。研究表明《美丽中国》官方译本能够体现语言顺应论，是符合该理论的优秀译本。同时期望顺应论的翻译策略能更广泛地应用到纪录片的字幕翻译当中。
