摘要 

随着世界社会经济的发展，国家间的联系日益紧密。外国电影不断流入中国市场，反之亦然。作为一种深受欢迎且综合的艺术形式，电影肩负着文化交流的现实任务。在这种情况下，电影片名的翻译实际上就是文化相互作用，交流，和融合的过程。一个好的片名翻译不但可以提高收视率和票房，也是两种文化之间交流的必要条件。这给译者提出了艰巨的任务：如何聚焦于语言习惯和文化意识，考虑到文化禁忌，同时将电影传达的深刻意义反映出来，以引发目标读者的共鸣并实现两种语言之间理想的文化移植。本篇论文大致描述了电影片名的特征和功能，指出了当前翻译中的问题以及原因，对台湾，香港和大陆的不同版本进行评析，讨论电影片名翻译的准则，并且着重探讨电影名称翻译的方法以及由劳伦斯韦努蒂提出的归化和异化在电影片名翻译的应用。
