摘要 

双关语利用词的同音或多义的特点，可以产生言在此而意在彼的幽默效果，因而经常被广泛地应用于广告、文学作品和影视台词等各个方面。但由于不同语言和文化的特殊性，翻译双关语一直是一大挑战，有人甚至认为双关语是不可译的。自20 世纪 90 年代以来，对双关语及其可译性进行系统性的研究日益增多。美国情景喜剧因为其幽默的人物形象和搞笑剧情，在中国上映后深受中国观众喜爱，剧中的幽默对白运用了大量双关语，但很少有人研究美剧中的双关语翻译。本文以关联翻译理论为理论指导，对美国情景喜剧《摩登家庭》中的双关语及其翻译进行个案分析，并总结出译者使用的有效的翻译方法。
