商务合同翻译，作为应用翻译的一个分支，已由众多学者从文体学、功能对等理论以及语用学等不同视角进行了探讨，然而，从目的论角度研究商务合同翻译的却很少。本文将以目的论为理论支撑，通过梳理商务合同翻译的研究现状，结合商务合同翻译的翻译准则，详细论述目的论的三大原则在商务合同翻译中的应用,并辅以许多商务合同的翻译实例进行进一步阐释，以期为未来探索各种具体的商务合同的翻译策略和方法的研究提供一些指导性意见。
