《唐诗三百首》许渊冲译本和Peter Harris译本中意象的翻译研究
A Study on Image Translation in Xu Yuanchong’s and Peter Harris’s Translation of Three Hundred Tang Poems
摘要
唐朝是中国最鼎盛的朝代之一,拥有繁荣的经济和文化。唐诗是中国文化中宝贵的财富,很多外国读者渴望能够了解它们。但是由于语言方面的障碍,外国读者只能通过阅读翻译才能欣赏唐诗之美。唐诗中有很多意象,而大部分表达的意义并不是字面意思,需要在翻译中尽可能传达出意象的深意,这样才能全面表达唐诗的情感。为了探究意象的翻译,本论文比较了许渊冲翻译的《唐诗三百首》和Peter Harris翻译的《唐诗三百首》。通过比较可以看出,许渊冲先生倡导的“三化论”能够指导诗歌意象的翻译。本文作者通过比较两位译者对意象的处理方法,总结出更好的意象翻译方法,以便于更好地翻译唐诗意象。

ABSTRACT
Tang Dynasty is one of China’s strongest dynasties and is prosperous in economy, culture and others. Tang Poemis the glorious treasure in Chinese culture. Foreign readers are eager to learn about them, but they have difficulty in understanding Chinese language. Therefore, how to translate these poems is very important. There are many images in Tang poems,but most images convey more than the literal meaning. So, we need to try our best to keep the meanings of theseimages. In order to study the image translation, the author in this essay compares Xu Yuanchong’s and Peter Harris’ translation of Three Hundred Tang Poems. From the comparison, the author found that Mr. Xu’s “Three Transformation Theory” can better direct the image translation.
