摘要

英语习语是一种不可分割的短语，其语义不能简单地从每个单词的意义推断出来。比如：Achilles’ heel (致命的弱点)，或者an apple of one’s eye（掌上明珠）等。英语习语是语言的精华，在英语学习中极具重要性。但由于理论和实践上的原因，习语学习易于受到思维方式和文化等因素的影响，成了英语学习中的一大难题。身体部位在人际交流的时候扮演着重要角色，与身体部位相关的习语表达也在英语学习中被广泛运用，来揭露说话者的蕴意。该论文主要借助认知语言学中的概念隐喻理论，以人为中心，将人的身体部位分为三大模块，即五官、四肢和内脏，并以此对身体部位相关习语从更系统的角度进行分析，以期对相关语言学习和教学有所帮助。
