A Study on Mistranslation in English for Science and Technology

摘要

随着我国对外科技交流的发展，科技英语作为交流的工具越来越受到人们的重视。科技英语作为英语领域里的一个分支,除了具有一般英语的特征外,还有其自身的特点。但是，一些人对科技英语了解不是很深入，故而造成了科技英语翻译中的误译现象。本课题主要从科技英语翻译的特点出发，并分析目前科技英语翻译中存在的一些问题。

Abstract

With the rapid development of science and technology of China, English for Science and Technology as a tool for communication has aroused more and more attention. English for Science and Technology as a branch of the field of English, it not only has the characteristics of general English, but also has its own features. However, some people don’t have a thorough and profound understanding of English for Science and Technology, then mistranslate scientific texts during translation. This thesis mainly starts from the features of English for Science and Technology, then analyses some problems that exist in the translation of English for Science and Technology.
