A Study of the Linguistic Features and Translation of English Business Letters

摘要

伴着全球经济一体化进程的快速发展，我国与世界的国际商务交往越来越密切，作为其主要交流方式之一的商务信函也日益受到人们的广泛关注。因此，对于商务工作者来说，了解英语商务信函的特点，并掌握其翻译技巧，是必不可缺的一项技能。本文在前人研究的基础上，对商务信函的语言特点及其翻译技巧作了进一步的系统论述。一方面是迎接全球经济一体化的挑战、适应国际商务活动更加频繁的客观需要。同时，也是为更好地帮助商务人员切实掌握撰写和翻译英语商务信函的基本技能。

Abstract

With the fast development of global economic integration, the international business transactions between China and the foreign countries become more and more closely. Business letter as one of its main means of communication is also increasingly attracting attention. Therefore, it’s necessary for business workers to understand the features of business letters in English and master the skills of its translation. This paper is going to make a research for linguistic features and translation techniques of English business correspondence. On the one hand, it’s essential to meet the challenges of global economic integration and adapt to more and more frequent international business activities. On the other hand, business people really need to control the basic skills of writing and translation of English business letters to promote foreign trade.
