摘 要

随着科学技术在全球范围内的广泛传播，科技英语已经发展成为一种重要的英语语体，科技工作者在工作中经常需要了解国际国内科技发展的状况，借鉴国内外先进的科学技术或进行学术交流，这样不可避免地要翻阅大量的外文书刊和杂志。为了更好的传播科技知识，科技英语的翻译成为热门研究课题。本文主要研究科技英语的特点及翻译方法并进行归纳总结。首先，从词汇、句法和文体风格角度，通过例子分析，总结归纳科技英语的特点。其次，通过对科技英语特点的分析总结，也从词汇、句法和文体风格角度探寻科技英语的翻译方法。希望本文的研究成果可以帮助我们更好的了解科技英语的特点，掌握其一般规律，并将翻译方法运用到实际生活中，来提高科技英语翻译的质量及效率。

Abstract

With the worldwide dissemination of science and technique, English for science and technology has been developed into an important language branch in the scope of science and technology. Scientists often need to know the advanced status of science and technology from home and abroad, and this will inevitably to browse a large number of books and magazines in foreign language. In order to put science into more common use, translation of English for science and technology has become a popular research subject. This paper is going to figure out features and translation methods of English for science and technology. First, this paper analyses examples and summarizes features of English for science and technology from lexical, syntactic, and stylistic points. Second, it also researches translation methods of English for science and technology from the same points, too. It is hoped that this paper could not only help us understand features and master the general rules of English for science and technology, but also improve translation quality and efficiency.

Chapter 1 Introduction
    English has become the most comprehensive language being used, and the number of English speakers is the second largest in the world, only less than Chinese language. Because of the great influence of America in the fields like society, economy, culture and science, English become more and more important for China to catch up with the development. In modern society, proficiency in English brings a direct impact on people's lives and work. Proficiency in English includes listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation in five capacities. The translation capability reflected proficiency in English, an important aspect of the translation for the nation's scientific and cultural communication. And integration has played an irreplaceable important role.
    Since the "Opening and Reforming" policy was promoted in 1978, Chinese government constantly expanded communications with foreign countries, especially in introducing and spreading science and technology. Thereby studies on the translation of science and technology are not only academically important but also practically crucial because it directly relates to the construction of a modern society.
