摘 要
在全球化的影响下,各国之间都保持着密切的联系。尤其是在这个急速发展的时代,彼此之间的文化交流已不是一件难事。在电影领域方面,越来越多的国际电影进入国内市场,在这个跨文化交际过程当中电影名的翻译必不可少。由于文化差异,译者的思维方式,审美理念不同,翻译也会有所不同。本文以起源于德国的功能派翻译理论为基础,运用其中的目的论对电影名翻译的现象作出诠释,对电影名的翻译做进一步的研究。通过电影片名特点的描述,并从目的论的角度出发,本文详细阐述意译、直译、音译等多种翻译方法。因为电影名翻译的不同,观众对电影内容也会有不同的理解,本文通过对目的论和翻译方法的研究来减小这种偏差,从而吸引更多的观众欣赏电影。

Abstract
Under the influence of globalization, countries keep intimate connections with each other. Particularly in this rapidly developing era, the cultural exchanges between countries become easier and easier. In the field of film, a growing number of foreign films flow into the international market. In this procedure of cross-cultural communication, the translation of English film titles becomes indispensable. Because of the cultural differences, the different ways of thinking and aesthetic philosophy of translators, the results of the film titles’ translation turn out to be different. This thesis is based on the functionalist translation theory which originates from German, and adopts skopos theories to explain the phenomenon of film title translation and make further study of the English film titles translation. Based on the characteristics of film titles description and from the perspectives of skopos theory, a specific study of literal translation, free translation, transliteration is given in the paper. Due to the different translation versions of film title, the audiences receive different messages about the film content. The deviation will be reduced through the research of Skopos theory and translation methods so as to attract more people to appreciate films.
