摘  要

众所周知，隐喻一直是学术界里主要研究对象之一。传统的观念认为隐喻仅仅是一种单纯的修辞手段， 只能用于修饰语言。但是越来越多的研究表明隐喻不止是语言装饰，尤其是拉考夫和约翰逊提出的新隐喻理论。他们相信在我们日常生活、行为和语言里隐喻无处不在。如今，很多人开始意识到概念隐喻作为一个认知模式， 已经被广泛地运用到经济、科学和其他领域中了。深受先前研究的鼓舞，作者在拉考夫理论的基础上，总结了概念隐喻的发展历史，讨论了其在财经新闻中的应用和功能,分析了推进隐喻发展的因素，并将财经新闻中的隐喻分成了四大类，重点剖析了三种最具代表性的财经概念隐喻。通过对概念隐喻基本知识的了解， 读者能够培养一种隐喻观念，快速提高他们对财经新闻的理解能力。同时这篇论文也能丰富有关隐喻的研究内容，而且对经济本身，也有一定帮助。

Abstract

As is well-known, metaphor is always one of the major objectives in academic world. And the traditional views took metaphor as a rhetoric device, whose function is only to ornament languages. But more and more studies show that metaphors are much more than a decoration of language, especially the new metaphor theory of Lakoff and Johnson. They believe that metaphor exists anywhere in our daily lives, actions and languages. Nowadays, there are a large amount of people begin to realize that conceptual metaphor, as a cognitive model, has already been applied to economy, science and other fields universally. Spirited by previous studies, and basing on Lakoff's conceptual metaphor theory, the author summarizes the long history and development of conceptual metaphors, discusses conceptual metaphors’ applications and functions in economic news and financial reports, analyzes some factors of metaphor’s promotion, divides economic metaphors into four categories in both English and Chinese newspapers, and focuses on the most three representative economic metaphors. Then though understanding some basic knowledge about metaphors, readers can raise metaphorical awareness and rapidly improve their reading ability of economic reports. Also this study can enrich the researches about conceptual metaphor and be help of economy itself.
